Influence of indoor environmental quality and dwelling satisfaction aspects on overall satisfaction: Findings from a Swedish national survey

The objective of this study is to contribute the discussion on impact dwelling satisfaction aspects (size, standard, layout, appearance/aesthetics, well-being, cost and area/neighbourhood) perceived indoor environmental quality (thermal comfort, air quality, with daylight acoustic comfort) occupants’ overall satisfaction. This article uses data from Swedish National Survey, BETSI (2007/08). results are representative adults living in multi-family single-family buildings (1597 responses/955 buildings). Linear regression models developed as dependent variable independent variables: seven aspects, four factors all combined (eleven). An all-model explained 54.7% (best performed). All retained variables (except daylight) statistically significant predictors. Satisfaction well-being (b = 0.286) dwellings’ standard 0.188) have greatest effect model IEQ only 35.5% results.
